CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Children are precious to God and they are precious to us! From the youngest to the oldest we seek to encourage children to know and love the Lord through the teaching of His Word and the influence of godly role models who demonstrate His love and acceptance. In our children’s ministries we make it our aim to lay a foundation upon which God-centered lives are built. We teach our children through age-appropriate lessons not only to know, but to trust the Lord – to not only receive from Him, but to give their lives in grateful worship and service.
The Nursery ministry provides safe and loving child care for infants and toddlers from birth through age two. We have in place a check-in system to provide safety and communication regarding your child. This includes a pager system and identification tags for children and their belongings. Included on the sign-in sheet is an opportunity for parents to give instructions regarding feeding, nap times, etc. The nursery itself is divided into an infants section and a toddler section. There is also a private room inside the nursery for sleeping babies and nursing mothers.
Nursery services are provided Sundays during Bible Study Hour (9:45 – 10:45), 11:00 Contemporary Worship Service (10:45 – 12:15), Wednesday Evenings (7:00 – 8:30), and some special events.

“…One of the great benefits of getting involved in Awana Clubs is that children have the opportunity to form lasting friendships with other clubbers as well as relationships with mature Christian adults in an environment that promotes high spiritual and moral values.”
AWANA is a weekly club program held every Wed evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm for children in preschool to grade 5. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of the phrase “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”(2 Tim. 2:15).
Children have fun playing age-appropriate games, memorizing Bible verses in an organized, topical system and participating in large-group Bible teaching. This program runs Sept. thru May. Transportation may be available by calling the church office.
Volunteering
Our Awana Club ministry depends on volunteers who are willing to serve on a weekly basis on Wednesday nights during the school year from September through June. If you would be willing to give some of your time helping children grow in their faith and in their knowledge of the Word please contact Cindy Ray, our Director of Children’s Ministry, at [email protected]

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
At Calvary Bible Preschool, we believe the greatest contribution we can make to tomorrow’s society is with a highly educated program. We are Christian based without prejudicing the child toward any particular denomination. Children learn by doing and here at Calvary Bible Preschool, your preschooler will strengthen his/her skills with plenty of hands on activities. Our curriculum is organized into theme based units that address topics that encourage children to develop their skills and confidence. Our preschool program provides classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn. Your preschooler will make new friends and develop self-confidence as he/she strengthens cognitive skills. Our preschool has a reputation for excellent staffing, quality education and loving care. This quality has been recognized and applauded by several K-5 teachers in the public school system.
